Joe Kiland moved to the Hendon area in 1911 from Clay County, Moorehead, Minnesota, and Clara a year later in 1912. They were married in Hendon on Dec. 14, 1914. They had a family of five children, three sons and two daughters. Their eldest son, Norval was killed in a tragic accident in 1918 at four years of age. Joe worked in the Hendon area for many years. He worked for 15 years at the Co-op before retiring in 1965. After retiring they moved to Saskatoon where Clara stillresides. She is still enjoying her good health and is active in senior citizens' activities. Their second eldest son, Art, passed away in 1972 and Joe passed away suddenly in 1973 at 80 years of age. They, along with Norval are buried in the Hendon Cemetery and are deeply missed by us all. Agnes married Ben Regenwetter in March of 1942. They had six children, four boys - Lenard, Louis, Art and Don, and two girls - Bernadette and Cathy. They are all presently residing in Drayton Valley, Alta. and district. Orville married Eunice Selberg on March 5, 1958. They had two children, Randy and Karyn. Eunice passed away in January of 1977 after a lengthy illness and is laid to rest in the Breton Cemetery. She is deeply missed and our thoughts are with her often. Orville is living in Breton, Alta. but his job takes him away from home much of the time. Randy is married and living in Red Deer, Alta, and Karyn is living in Breton. Francis married Donald Corrins in September of 1953. They had two children, Coleen and Murray. They are all residing in Saskatoon. Although we have moved from Hendon and made our homes in various other places, we have many cherished memories and often think how nice it would be to relive those days again."
